Project overview

Worknest’s product team came to us with a growing tool that had outpaced its interface. Teams were juggling five tabs to answer one question: what’s happening this week? We redesigned the core dashboard around a single, customizable workspace that surfaces priorities, deadlines, and team activity at a glance.

Project highlights

The new dashboard is built from a library of 24 drag-and-drop widgets, each designed to work at three sizes. A unified command bar lets users jump to any project, person, or file in two keystrokes, and a refreshed design system brought 140 inconsistent components down to 38.

Challenges

Power users wanted density; new users wanted simplicity. We solved this with progressive disclosure — clean default layouts that reveal deeper controls on demand — and validated every iteration through weekly usability sessions with 12 customer teams.
